Common Faults and Daily Maintenance of Fire Hose Couplings?

Common Faults and Daily Maintenance of Fire Hose Couplings?

1. Product Installation Specifications
Before use, check whether the threads of the fire hose couplings are complete, whether the sealing rings are aged or missing, and ensure that the interface is not deformed or rusted. When sleeved with a hose, a layer of soft protective material (such as a rubber pad) is required to avoid wear caused by direct friction, and double-tighten with galvanized iron wire or hose clamps to ensure a firm connection. The buckle-type coupling needs to be tightened clockwise to the locked position, and the plug-in interface needs to be fully inserted into the slide. Select the appropriate coupling type (buckle-type, plug-in type) according to the material of the hose, and avoid mixing different specifications and models. The high-pressure resistant coupling should be close to the water pump end to avoid slipping due to excessive water pressure at the far end.

2. Daily Maintenance and Precautions
Regularly check the elasticity and integrity of the sealing ring, replace it in time if it is aged or deformed, and clean the impurities on the sealing surface with a neutral detergent. Clean the joint thoroughly after use to avoid foam fire extinguishing agents, oil stains or acidic substances. Rinse with warm water or soapy water when necessary. When storing for a long time, the joints need to be coated with anti-rust grease (such as silicone grease) and stored in a dry and ventilated place with the temperature controlled at 0-35℃. Avoid contact with corrosive substances such as oils, acids, alkalis, etc. Stainless steel or galvanized material joints are preferred in humid areas. Avoid sharp objects when laying fire hose joints. Use hose bridges when passing through traffic arteries. The railway should be bypassed under the track. Do not drag or force twist after filling with water. Two people are required to lift it off the ground when moving to reduce friction.
